Solar Energy Cost:
Tangible and Intangible Savings
Your solar energy cost can be assessed in terms of both real and intangible costs--actual dollars spent and return on investment, as well as long-term savings and benefits to the environment.
A solar power system can cost as little as $10,000 up to $40,000 for a Florida State Rebate System.
• Savings: 20-25 years savings of $50 to $1400/month
• Tax credits: The tax credit is for 30% of the cost of the system with no cap for photovoltaic systems as of Dec 31, 2008.
• State rebates: In Florida approved applicants receive $4.00 per watt up to $20,000.00 for residential, $100,000 for commercial. |
